The Hausmannsturm is open from 29.03.—04.11.2024. The last possible entry during the day is at 17:30.
The Porzellansammlung remains closed until 17.04.2025 due to construction works.

Please note that the Archiv der Avantgarden — Egidio Marzona (ADA) will be closed from 10.03. - 10.04.2025 due to exhibition renovations. Research visits are possible by prior appointment.
A step-free entrance is located on the right-hand side of the building (staff entrance).

From Tuesday to Friday, groups (e.g. school classes) can visit the museum in the morning by appointment.
The main entrance to the museum and all exhibition areas are barrier-free.

Admission to the permanent exhibition at the GRASSI Museum für Völkerkunde zu Leipzig is free of charge. Fees may apply for special exhibitions and events.

From the selling tickets for all our museums, personalization of annual tickets, arranging individual and guided tours, to offering an exclusive selection of souvenirs for sale, we are there as a contact for all questions about the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden.

For security reasons, overcoats and bags of any kind must be handed in at our cloakrooms or in our lockers. Bags or items that are permitted to be carried for special reasons, at the discretion of the security staff, will be checked for their contents. This also applies for wheelchairs and Strollers. Due to the large number of visitors, it is unfortunately currently not possible to bring stollers into the exhibitions of the Japanese Palais and the Palais Café. Thank you for your understanding!
Depending on the building, free cloakrooms and/or lockers are available for you to drop off your bags, coats and jackets. Please have 1 or 2 € coins ready for the use of the lockers. Thank you for your understanding!

For the Historic Green Vault time slot tickets are necessary. Tickets for all other exhibitions can be purchased at the online shop, at the museum ticket offices and at the visitor service during the opening hours.

we are delighted to welcome you at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. In order to do justice to all of our visitors and their interests and to guarantee the safety of the artworks, certain rules are imperative. The rules of the house are binding for all visitors. By entering the museum building, the visitors acknowledge the validity of these rules.
Taking photographs and Filming without flash, tripod or selfie-stick – for exclusively private, non-commercial purposes – is permitted in the permanent exhibitions (except in the Historic Green Vault (Historisches Grünes Gewölbe)), provided the safety and security of the works of art are not endangered, a minimum distance of 50 centimetres is complied with, and other visitors
are treated with consideration.
This permit shall not apply to third party rights. The SKD explicitly point out that the reproduction or dissemination of content that is protected under copyright or rights of privacy is subject to authorisation. Individual works which are subject to a general prohibition on photography or filming owing to the instructions of the owner or copyright holder are labelled accordingly. In special exhibitions, photography and filming may be prohibited; please do not hesitate to ask the museum attendants about this. For all purposes that go beyond the scope of this general permit, written authorisation is necessary; this also applies to later changes of use.
