Forschung und wissenschaftliche Kooperation

Research is a process: it is dedicated to the continuous development of the historical contexts of the collection holdings in interaction with international discourses in the sciences and the arts. Research is the future: it recognises its public responsibility for contemporary society. Research is practice: Research using artistic means in dialogue with the collections is a specific feature of research at the Dresden State Art Collections. This diverse spectrum contributes significantly to making museums a lively and democratic place of knowledge production.
