Special Opening and Closing Times in 2026

Since the beginning of the year, museum opening hours have been dynamically adjusted. The SKD continues to tailor its offerings to seasonal changes in demand and public interest. To this end, opening hours are being temporarily reduced so that they can be adjusted at short notice for particularly popular permanent or special exhibitions. At the Residenzschloss (Royal Palace), construction work to improve energy efficiency is leading to temporary restrictions in selected exhibition areas.
