The public prosecutor's office Dresden, Soko 'Epaulette' and the LKA Sachsen have seized a considerable part of the stolen goods taken during the theft of the Green Vault on the night of 16 to 17 December 2022 in Berlin.

The SKD have regained possession of the following pieces

the breast star of the Polish Order of the White Eagle, from the brilliant-cut diamond set by Jean Jacques Pallard, Geneva/Vienna, between 1746 and 1749
the hat brim jewel (aigrette) from the brilliant-cut diamond set, by August Gotthelf Globig, Dresden, between 1782 and 1807
the rapier from the rose-cut diamond set by Christian August Globig and August Gotthelf Globig, Dresden, 1782–1789 (taken apart, without the blade)
two curved shoe buckles from the rose-cut diamond set, workshop of Christian August Globig, Dresden, 1782–1789
the hat ornament from the rose-cut diamond set, Christian August Globig and August Gotthelf Globig, Dresden, 1782–1789

Thieves stole eleven whole items, parts of two others and a group of skirt buttons

Following the break-in at the Historisches Grüne Gewölbe (Historic Green Vault) on Monday morning, Dirk Syndram (director of the Grünes Gewölbe and the Rüstkammer) was able to inspect and photograph the raided Jewel Room display case on Tuesday afternoon. Based on his inspection and the photographs, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden are now able to say which items the perpetrators escaped with.

The display case in the Jewel Room which was targeted by the thieves contained the sets of rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds, along with the queens’ diamond jewellery and pearls (roughly 100 individual items). The three sets contain diamonds in various cuts, the majority of which were acquired by Augustus the Strong and Augustus III. Most were set in their mountings between 1782 and 1789.

The missing pieces are shown below, grouped into the three sets.
