Przemysław Strożek, Archiv der Avantgarden – Egidio Marzona und Albrecht Ernst, Saxofonist.
Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts tauchten in Europa erste Anzeichen afroamerikanischer Kultur auf. Ragtime, Foxtrott, Cakewalk und Charleston begeisterten als neue Formen der Unterhaltung. Jazz wurde als Synonym für moderne Schwarze Kultur wahrgenommen und fand in Form von Musik und Tanz nicht zuletzt auch Eingang in die Avantgarden – von Dada über Futurismus und Konstruktivismus bis hin zu Neoplastizismus. Der Vortrag von Przemysław Strożek wird durch Jazz-Improvisationen von Albrecht Ernst begleitet.
Im dialogischen ADA-Format der Tiny Desk Lecture geben Wissenschaftler*innen, Zeitzeug*innen und Kunstschaffende Einblicke in ihre Arbeit. Im Fokus stehen dabei einzelne Aspekte der Sonderausstellung, die mit Fachwissen und neuen Perspektiven angereichert werden.
