Research Programs at the Dresden State Art Collections

The research programs Europe/World and Research Travels at the Depot, both designed for several years of duration, foster a broadened and discursive perspective on the SKD’s collections, which include the bounteous stocks of the Ethnographical Collections of Saxony (SES), through their diverse sub-projects and exhibitions. In cooperation with international partners questions that are relevant to the scientific discourse as well as society in general are developed and integrated into the academic and curatorial work at the SKD. Additionally, the organization of conferences and workshops hosted with us is intended to further intensify worldwide exchange.
