Special rules for access to the Historisches Grünes Gewölbe
Tickets for the Historisches Grünes Gewölbe have a clearly defined time limit. That means that the admittance to the Grünes Gewölbe will only be allowed within the timeframe stipulated on the ticket. This timeframe will be determined when you make an advance booking or when you buy your ticket at the ticket counter for the day of visiting.

Ticket counter
40 per cent of the tickets for a particular day are reserved for same-day purchase at the ticket counter in the Residenzschloss – with a limit of 5 tickets per person (at the entrance to the Grünes Gewölbe, ticket counter opens at 10 a.m.).

Admittance is only possible with a limited-time ticket for the Historisches Grünes Gewölbe. All other tickets and combined tickets such as annual and one-day tickets for the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, the Dresden-City and Dresden-Regio Card, the Kunst-Ticket issued by the Deutsche Bahn, museum vouchers and vouchers issued by travel agents are not valid for the Historisches Grünes Gewölbe.

All coats and bags must be left in the cloakroom. As a result the cloakroom may be very busy, resulting in delays. We suggest that this be taken into account and that visitors arrive before the timeframe for their admittance starts.
