Yearbooks
Since 1959 the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen have been publishing a yearbook. On the one hand, art historic topics are dealt with in scholarly essays and recent research results are presented. On the other hand, the yearbook can be considered as the chronicle of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden.
Next to museum purchases, exhibitions and restorations of the year, publications, reorganizations of museum departments or workshops, major construction work as well as activities and merits of our societies of friends and associations are recorded. This scholarly periodical is mainly distributed by the national and international museum book exchange and can be found in university libraries. Among its readership are art historians, restorers, docents, students and the general art-interested public.
